Why put a small bottle in the shower drain?
Regular monitoring of humid and warm areas where cockroaches settle more easily can detect their presence.
In fact, because of their humidity and temperature, cockroaches thrive under the sink, behind the refrigerator or dishwasher. In addition, we can make a cockroach trap simply by placing a small bottle in the shower drain.
With this trick you can prevent cockroaches from entering our bathrooms through the shower drain.
The only thing you need is a plastic bottle , because we will use it to make a homemade trap to prevent cockroaches from getting into the sewer from the bathroom.
In addition , this trick also serves to stop the hair when we put it down the shower drain.
What we have to do is take a plastic bottle. This is inserted into the drain hole of the shower after removing the upper grille , of course on the side of the plug (which must be well screwed).
Once we have turned it upside down, we take a marker and mark the measurement of its depth . For each pipe, there are numerous plastic bottles that can be adapted for this purpose.
The mark with the marker should be made slightly above the line as this will prevent the cap from falling off.
Then take a pair of scissors and start cutting above the marking line, about half a centimeter above the cap and the marking.
At the end, we hold the part of the bottle with the screw cap in our hand and shred the plastic in a zigzag pattern, creating almost sharp teeth.
Now take a screwdriver or other metal-tipped object and drill small holes throughout the entire part, including the cap.
These small holes must also be drilled into the plug because this way, if you insert it upside down into the drain, it will allow the water to drain well while filtering the hair.
