Things needed:
One loaf of Italian or French bread
one and a half sticks butter without salt, melted
minced garlic four cloves
minced parsley, 2 tablespoons (optional)
1/4 teaspoon of salt
little about a quarter teaspoon of black pepper
(Optional) 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Warm Up the Oven:
Prepare the oven to bake to 375°F, or 190°C.
Start by making the garlic butter.
Put the melted butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley (if using) into a small bowl. Blend into a smooth mixture.
Let the Bread Rise:
Half the bread loaf lengthwise.
Evenly distribute the garlic butter mixture over the sliced bread.
Optional: Top with Cheese:
To garnish the garlic butter spread, if desired, top with grated Parmesan cheese.
