1. Prepare the Ingredients

  2. Separate the eggs carefully, ensuring no yolk mixes with the whites.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients

  1. Sift the cake flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl.
  2. Create a well in the center for the wet ingredients.

3. Combine the Wet Ingredients

  1. In the well, add the egg yolks, water, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  2. Mix until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

4. Whip the Egg Whites

  1. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually add the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.

5. Fold and Bake
