Soapy water and bicarbonate of soda to unclog grilles
Dirty or clogged, gas cooker grates regain their shine with soapy water. All you have to do is follow these steps:
Immerse the grates in the sink or in a large bowl filled with hot water and dish soap. Liquid Marseille soap can also be effective;
Let the solution sit for 10 to 15 minutes before scrubbing with a sponge to remove grease;
Then use baking soda for greater efficiency. To do this, sprinkle the baking soda on a damp rough sponge and rub the grates to remove all traces of grease, thanks to the abrasive action of the white powder;
Rinse the grates and dry them carefully with a microfibre cloth before replacing them.
White vinegar for cleaning heavily soiled grids
For grease and stubborn stains, white vinegar can be used to clean easily and effectively. Place the grates in a bowl filled with white vinegar and coarse salt. Then sprinkle baking soda to loosen the remaining dirt. Leave for a few hours and then rinse with clean water. Then use an abrasive sponge or toothbrush to scrub the grates. You will get a spotless result and your grates will look as good as new.
