Directions:
Step 1
First, in a spacious skillet, gently cook the onion in a generous tablespoon of butter over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent.

Next, continue cooking the onion until it reaches a tender consistency. Remove the cooked onion from the pan and set it aside.
Step 3
Then, in a generous skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter along with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and once the butter has melted, add the potatoes, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper, combining them thoroughly.
Step 4
Following this, cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer, turning the ingredients occasionally, for approximately 15 minutes or until the vegetables have slightly softened.
Step 5
Subsequently, continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes after adding the sausage. In a separate large skillet, combine the sautéed onions and peppers, cooking until the peppers reach a tender crispness. Lastly, if you’re using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the top.
I knew I had to try this Amish recipe as soon as I saw it. It was scrumptious and lived up to the hype!
