Step 1
First, make sure the chicken breasts are of the same thickness by hammering them. Add a little salt and black pepper to taste. Here is where the taste and softness of the chicken are born.
Step 2
Put the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped fresh basil or parsley in one dish, the beaten eggs in another, and the third with the all-purpose flour. Flour, then egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture, should be used to coat each chicken breast. This method yields a crunchy, delicious coating.
Step 3
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Put the chicken breasts in the pan, coating side down, and cook until golden brown. After cooking, transfer to a paper towel to absorb any remaining oil.
Step 4
Have a 375F (190C) oven ready. Spread some marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. The fried chicken breasts should be added on top. Add extra marinara to the chicken and serve.
Step 5
Shred some mozzarella cheese and some Parmesan cheese and sprinkle them liberally on top of the sauce. Red pepper flakes may be used for a little kick if desired.
Step 6
To ensure the chicken is well cooked and the cheese is melted, place the Chicken Parmesan in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. You won’t regret waiting for the fusion of aromas and tastes.
Step 7
To add a splash of color and a blast of flavor after removing from the oven, top with chopped fresh basil or parsley. This finishing touch elevates the appearance and gives it a herbaceous undertone.
