1 Cup.Of (2 sticks) softened unsalted butter.
– 3/4 Cup.Of granulated sugar.
– 3/4 Cup.Of packed brown sugar.
– 1 Tsp.Of vanilla extract.
– 2 large eggs.
– 2 1/4 Cups.Of all-purpose flour.
– 1 Tsp.Of baking soda.
– 1/2 Tsp.Of salt.
– 2 Cups.Of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
– 1 Cup.Of chopped nuts (optional).
PREPARATION:
1st Step
Make sure that your oven is ready for baking at 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) by preheating it to that temperature before you create the cookie dough.
2nd Step
Combine the butter that has been softened, the granulated sugar, the packed brown sugar, and the vanilla extract in a large mixing basin. Make sure to use either a hand mixer or a stand mixer to thoroughly combine all of these ingredients until the batter is frothy and light.
3rd Step
After creaming the butter and sugar together, add the eggs one at a time, mixing the mixture well after each addition. This phase contributes to the formation of a dough that is uniformly cohesive and smooth.
4th Step
Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt together in a basin separate from the wet ingredients. While mixing at a low speed, gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until they are fully incorporated. To prevent the cookies from becoming tough, avoid overmixing the ingredients.
